I am very happy to be part of today's teaching.
I learned so much today about our prayer life and how it concerns our family. The woman should submit to her husband and the husband should always respect and give also what belongs to the wife,1 COR 7:3-5.
As a good husband you should give your wife gifts and money, it is your responsibility to take good care of her. The wife should not deprive her husband control of their body, unless during the period of prayer and fasting. When you are in the period of prayer and fasting, you should not engage in sexual activities, give your wife or husband space for that period of time in order to communicate and concentrate with God first.
Whenever we are praying and fasting, it must be obvious or made known to everyone, we should never behave like the Pharisees and hypocrites in MATHEW 6:16. They changed their face so that they appear to everyone that they are fasting, When we fast we should go into our private place and kneel before God to pray. This is between you and God and not with your fellow man, it is the time we connect to God and hear from the holy spirit.
What also learned is that when a man prays he should not cover his head, in 1COR 11:4,7,9,10,11 every man prophesying having his head covered, dishonors his head, the Bible so tells us that we are not suppose to cover our head while praying because he is the image and glory of God.
I also learned that as A man when it comes to the time of marriage we should pray and wait for God to guide us, in PROVERBS 18:22. He that finds a wife finds a good thing and shall obtain favour from the lord. Commit your marriage into the hands so that it would last and be blessed by God.
As a man it is not good to lust after a woman that is not your wife, MATTHEW 5:28. Whoever looked at a woman and lust after her has committed an adultery with her already in his heart. Let us leave the lust of the flesh for it is a sim unto the lord, let us be grounded with the word of God and not allow such things to destroy and hinder our faith.
One more, If God has blessed us let us help the poor and the homeless, let us feed and clothe them, ISAIAH 58:7,8. And thou shall bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? And when thou see the naked that thou shall cover him and hide not thyself from thy own flesh. We should always love and help one another for this the commandment of Christ so that it will be well with us, and that our light shall break forth and our health shall speedily spring forth and righteousness will go before us.
