As we continue in our faith walk, we find ourselves asking more often than not "When is God's perfect time" for us to take action. Brother Eli Soriano enlightened us on this in this video Bible lesson. When we reflect on this lesson, we are reminded of a deep awareness in recognizing God's best timing in our lives. It is comforting to think that as we follow the Lord's ways and obey His commandments, we will expand our spiritual discernment that will enable us to understand the right moments to act.
Brother Eli's reference to Galatians 6:10 is specifically instructive. "Wherefore, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially those who are of the household of faith." This verse sums up the essence of God's perfect timing clearly. It is no longer about looking forward to some mystical voice from the heavens, but as a substitute to seize the opportunities that are given to us. These moments of possibility are actually God's perfect timing manifesting in our lives.
However, we should also realize that not every opportunity is appropriate. As Brother Eli points out, Satan can and does hinder our true intentions. The example from 1 Thessalonians 2:18, where Paul expresses his failed attempts to visit the Thessalonians, serves as a stark reminder of this fact. "Therefore we would have come to you, even I, Paul, once and again, but Satan hindered us." This verse highlights the constant struggle of faith we face in our efforts to do right.
However, this information should not discourage us. Instead, it must make us appreciate more the opportunities we have to do God's will. When we find ourselves in a state where we are going to do great, regardless of the extent of the obstacles, we should see it as God's perfect time and act accordingly.
Brother Eli's teaching encourages us to be alert and ready. God's perfect time is not staying passively waiting, but energetic discernment and readiness to act. When the state of things allows us to do right, even through obstacles, that is our guide. This is God's perfect timing as it manifests itself in our lives.
This consideration calls us to a higher degree of attention. It requires us to look beyond our personal agendas and timelines and sing to God's beat. It reminds us that every opportunity to do something precisely, especially for our fellow believers, is a precious gift from God, a moment when His perfect timing bursts into our lives.
As we move forward, let us take this teaching into our hearts. Let us always be alert to those moments when we will be doing great and consider them as God's perfect timing. And while these moments come, let us act with courage and conviction, understanding that we are aligning ourselves with God's will and timing. By doing this, we are no longer most effective at blessing others, but we are additionally turning towards the coronary heart of God, thereby satisfying His purpose for our lives.
