I am very glad to write about what I learnt from today's mass Indoctrination day 5.
From the indoctrination service, I learnt that,
There is a way that fasting should be done.
Married couples are one and they should not deny each other their body. But when it comes to the issue of fasting, married couples should abstain from any sexual act.
During fasting period it is better for married couples to understand that for their prayers to be answered by God, the need to keep away from any sexual act. When they do that, then their prayers will be heard by God.
They should exercise self control and wait till their fasting ends. Then after, they come together again and continue with their usual married life.
Again, another thing to do is to stop doing evil when fasting.
If you are going to fast, stop the evil act before you start to fast.
Doing evil, will make your heart not pure and for that matter, your body will be defiled because your tongue will not be pure so when you pray, your prayer will not be heard.
So it is advisable to stop any one vil act and do good.
Another thing to do is to forgive others their offences.
During fasting, we don't have to hold any offends against our brethren. We have to forgive so that God will also forgive us and hear our prayers.
Share your bread with the hungry.
This is the moment we don't eat any food so we have to share our food with others.
And again we have give our clothes to those who are in need.
Give clothes to the naked if you can.
Feed the poor and give them shelter.
Do not deprive your fellow man of any thing.
One thing that is important is that,Fasting should not be made known to any body.
It should not be done to show off.
Don't let people know that you are fasting. It must be in secret.
Fasting is very important because it can cause miracles. So we need to pay much attention to it and do what God wants us to do.
There are many things that married couples can do do that their prayers will not be hindered and some of them are as follows,
The first thing that Couples should do is that, they should not share their body with any one unless their spouse.
The second thing is that,
Married couples should not display their body in public.
It is not proper to display your body in public. Your body belongs to your spouse.
It is prohibited for a married woman to expose her body in public.
The third thing to do is that,
They should not have any sexual act with your wife when she is in her menstrual period.
The Fourth thing is that,
The wife must submit to the husband who is the head of the house.
The fifth thing to do is that,
Man should not have a head covering but a woman must have.
The long hair is given to the woman as a covering.
Man should love his wife and show caring to here. Man should give attention to the with and take good care of her.
Man should love his wife and not be cruel to her. If you have a kind wife, love her because if you do that God will listen to your prayers.
The wife must learn to keep herself clean and nice. This can make the man like her and love her without desiring other women.
The woman should respect the husband.
Sarah called Abraham Lord because she had respect for the husband.
The woman should submit to the man and behave well. This can make the man kind.
The man and the woman must both be believers, following the doctrine of Christ.
It is the doctrine of Christ that can make the marriage successful and peaceful.
Couples should let the word of God be in them and they should obey it so that their prayers will not be hindered from God.
