I want to share what I learnt in the topic of today , which says "WHAT IS THE PROPER WAY OF TEACHING CHILDREN ABOUT THE CHURCH" (PART 2 OF 2)
There are two pleasure in life, the first pleasure is the pleasure of sin which is the one we applied when we are still young and it's happens to Moses in the book of Hebrews 11:24 (King James version)
By faith Moses,when he was come come to years refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to suffer affiliation with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasure of sin for a season;
There's what bible called as pleasure of sin in position.
Moses rejected the pleasure of sin, But rather choose to suffer affiliation if the people of God.
Hebrews 11:26 (King James version)
Moses esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward.
Moses chooses that Christ is greater riches than the treasures in the Egypt which he is very much acquainted with because we will remember that Moses grew up in the court of Pharaoh being adopted by the daughter of Pharaoh.
So Moses reject the pleasure of sin and choose the pleasure of serving God his creator.
We first accept and ensure that truly there are pleasures of sin but they are temporary and not permanent.
We also assure them that there are pleasures in serving God, there is joy in the spirit, there's beauty in serving God, there's beauty beyond what we can experience here on earth. There is no drug addict, hardly will you find a youth in my church that is a problem of the society but rather be of help both in the church and society.
This is achieved not by challenging them but by opening their minds using the word of God as a tool for them to know the truth and the reality in life and those realities to come.
