Why did John use spirit instead of prophet in 1 John 1: 3 (part1).

Good day ladies and gentlemen

My name is Chukwuemeka Francisca Ugochukwu

Today is the 24th days of April 2021.

I want to share what I learnt from today's topic which tagged "WHY DID JOHN USE "SPIRIT INSTEAD OF PROPHET " IN JOHN 1:3.

Before I proceed I will like to explain what prophet is all about, prophet is the one who speaks by divine inspiration or by the spirit of living God and not in flesh.

1Corinthians 14:32, which says and the spirit of the prophet are subject to the prophets.

That verse is telling us that a prophet is being recognized by the spirit in him, like prophet Jeremiah he has the spirit of God in him even Isaiah and other prophets have different spirit in them.

According to 1John 4:2, hereby know ye the spirit of God. Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus come in the flesh of God, verse 3: and any spirit that confesseth not that Jesus come in the flesh is not of God.

Any prophet that says that Jesus is a man doesn't have the spirit of God in him.

There are many false prophets today they are Antichrist and we can know them through their teaching and prophesies they give.

Thanks for reading and remain bless.
