I will like to share what I have learned from the 11th mass indoctrination.
From what I learned I noticed that a lot of people and denominations have left the way of doing things according to the Bible in terms of giving in the church.
many denominations have set a different standard of giving offerings and tithe out of the Biblical context.
"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
2 CORINTHIANS 9:7
When we are giving our offering we have to do it with a cheerful heart.
Our vow is what we have opened our mouths to say or promise to do, so we must fulfill it either in good or bad circumstances.
A vow must be fulfilled in all circumstances.
Ecclesiastes 5:4-5
When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.
Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.
It is better for us not vow rather than to vow and not to fulfill it. one must pay all his or her vow by all means.
The church is not to tax people in the church she only has to teach people how to give with a cheerful heart and not with a grudging heart.
Giving and contribution to the work of God should be done cheerfully.
I also get to know that we a to give the sacrifice of praise to God because God delights in it.
Hebrews 13:15 KJV By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
Thanksgiving is what our God commands and we always have to give him thanks in all situations
1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Colossians 3:15 KJV And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
More Also, we are to always do good to others for in this act God delights greatly in such.
Hebrews 13:16 KJV But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
Matthew 6:2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
We don't have to overlook doing good to others, because this is a mandate from God.
We are not to boast of what we give to others and even our contribution to God's work.
