God, not man, is the wellspring of man's desires, and God is the originator of good deeds. Having a partner, having children, and fulfilling our parental responsibilities, such as ensuring that our offspring have a decent education, find fulfilling occupations, and get married are all basic human aspirations. The most important task we have in this life is to seek out and serve God. Nowadays, we are trained to direct our emotions toward things above us, Because the things above are eternal, although worldly wealth is ephemeral and fleeting. We must make a choice since we cannot serve both God and the world at the same time. We have the ability to choose, therefore pick life if you want to live. Always remember that our most valuable asset is our hearts. Allowing God to work in our life is the best thing we can do for ourselves. A farmer went out to sow nice seeds on his field, and some of the good seeds landed on rocky ground, some by the side of the road, some among thorns, and some on fruitful ground, according to the account.
We can deduce from this parable that our hearts are where the seeds dropped; some individuals have the rocky ground heart, others have the wayside heart, yet others have the thorny heart, and yet others have the good heart where the word will grow and bear fruit when planted.
Factors to consider: The adversary came and took the word that had been sown in the roadside heart because it could not hold on to the message of God for long. Brothers and sisters, we must always pay attention to the word and, more importantly, we must not allow the devil to take it away from us.
A rocky heart is one who has heard the word but has succumbed to temptations, letting go of the words and failing to hold on to them since they landed on stony ground and were unable to take root. The heart formed by the seeds that dropped among the thorns is the type of heart that hears the message with zeal. When things get bad, they can't hold on to it, and the message is suffocated by the thorns.
Finally, people born into good and rich soil or ground have a heart that hears, receives, and keeps God's word, refusing to let the devil take it away. The seed grew up and produced fruit in their lives as a result of their receiving and nurturing it.
The story of the sower reveals or will demonstrate our position among the four types of hearts. The devil is the one who takes the seed away from our hearts, and the seed is God's word.
What effect does the study have on us:
It had such an impression on me that I'm determined not to let the adversaries steal the seed of God's word that had been planted in me, because if we use it wisely, it will have a great impact on our lives.
We are inviting you to join the MCGI Cares (Hive) community that study the words of God and also earn some reward by making our reactions on it. We can check this link https://peakd.com/c/hive-182074/trending
Thanks be to God for listening on our meeting.
MCGI Cares (Hive) community's main mission is to share the words of God, not the Hive upvotes. If we get upvotes, please treat it as just a bonus. Do not focus mainly on material things as the bible is teaching us not to look at things seen but rather focus our eyes on things not seen.
II CORINTHIANS 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
