I had to jump on this because of a recent debate In my country on the topic, should a Christian Pay Tithe or not, is it compulsory or not? A lot of back and forth talk all over social media, making the pastor who opposes the statement the center of discussion as to why he has to come up with such contrary statement.
I remember one word my granny will always tell me, anytime i'm around her, she will always tell me make sure to always pay your tithe, i don't know why she keeps saying that but it struck a cord in my head the Importance of paying tithe.
I really don't care what others say or believe about tithing what i do know is that, its necessary as God demands it, that we commit atleast ¹/10th of all our income as tithe, to me its giving back to God what he gave us, its a sign of gratitude and humility, and a commitment to the furtherance of Gods Kingdom, because this tithes are used to facilitate the kingdom works, keeping the house Of God well, takingcare of God's servant.
If you paid attention to the the teachings of Bro Eli, he'd made mention of the fact that the isrealite were to pay tithe to the levites reason been that these levite are not entitled to the shared portion of land among the twelve tribe of isreal, since their obligation was to be in the house of God, serving and making intercession for the people so the people will have to pay tithe to them for their upkeep and the works of the ministry.
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

So if a christian should pay tithe? Of course YES it is mandatory, for CHRISTIANS to pay tithe its our commitment and a way to express our love, gratitude amd humility to God for all he has done, not like its a payment for salvation. And from Malachi 3:10 The scripture made it very clear Gods reward system to those who will diligently obey this simple instruction.

What's most important in any giving directed to God is that it should be done out of a cheerful heart and grudgingly or under compulsion
We should pay tithe but it’s not a must to give a particular percent. We should do or give what we have and God will appreciate it
Some people forcefully pay tithe and I’m sure that God wouldn’t appreciate it that way. It’s better to pay tithe with a clean heart and make sure that we were willing to give at that moment
I don't understand the reason for this so much controversy over tithing, the answer is very clear in the book of Malachi 3:10.
