STAYING HEALTHY Biblically

Exercising is one aspect that we mostly negelcts as believers, because we feel its not necessary to us, wake up early in the morning to a walk, run, hike, go out take in fresh air, eat good foods, stay healthy, eat healthy, live good, to be intentional about our health taking good care of our body, so that we can live long and well to be able to do the work of God, to be able to carry out the assignment that God have for us, truth is we would not be able to do them if we are sick, feeble and weak, hence it is necessary

If our mortal body is not well taken care of it will affect us in every where, psychologically, emotionally, physically, financially and other wise, so its necessary.

We choose to fast, pray engage more in spiritual exercises, so we are spiritually healthy but physically not healthy,

1Timothy 4:8 says, Bodily excercise profit little, godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life now is and all that now is to come

Bro Eli explain to us that the scripture above is In comparison with spiritual exercise when compared to bodily exercise, the ratio of the impact of bodily exercise to spiritual exercise is very small, so is it on the other way round, however bodily exercise is very necessary to stay alive and healthy, we ought to strike a perfect balance between these two, so that one doesn't suffer ill-fate.

For Instance the choice of food that we eat, is something we should be careful about, nit just taking anything we dim fit but to be careful about what we consume.

In conclusion we should also be mindful of our body, keeping it healthy by all means possible because if we don't take good care of our mortal body and allow it to suffer it will likely tell on us, because we would not be well enough to handle some spiritual matters, we need our spiritual exercise as well as our bodily exercise both have to be balance so we can effectively carry out the good works God has bestowed upon us as his children.

We need both physical and spiritual exercises to stay healthy.
