My submission on what I learnt from the Bible Study, please watch the video for more enlightenment.
What was the first religion on earth?
Bro Eliseo Soriano replied that it was "Judaism". That was the first religion founded by Moses. But when the people of Israel abused it and turned it to something else, that was when it was eradicated. And when Christ came to this world, He brought salvation which leads to "Christianity". And this have been the only true religion ever since.
Galatians 1:13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it.
Galatians 1:14 And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
Did Jesus confessed to be the Son of God?
Yes, as recorded by many bible verses.
Luke 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
Psalms 2:7 I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Paul believed with all his heart that Jesus is the Son of God. And even John had many evidences that Jesus Christ is the Messiah.
2 John 1:3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
Why do Muslims worship on Fridays and Christians on Saturdays and Sundays?
Bro Eliseo Soriano said he doesn't know why the Muslims choose to worship God on Fridays, but as for Christians we are suppose to worship and serve God daily not only on those days alone.
Acts 2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Worshipping God means serving him, obeying his commandments. To offer oneself as a living sacrifice, even all parts of the body and we should live for the righteousness of God.
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Shalom!
