Greetings Everyone!
Bro Eli made it clear that as the children the most high God, it is important for us to have knowledge of the future. We shouldn't live our lives by chance and accept whatever comes, because the Holy Bible serves not only as a guidebook for doctrine, but also as a book of prophecy. The intent of prophecy according to the Bible is for us to believe in the Lord's pronouncements when they are fulfilled, according to the scripture below,
And now I have told you before it came to pass that when it come to pass he might believe.
So, Christians are made aware of future occurrences or events before they come to pass, enabling us to be knowledgeable about what will happen later. We cannot simply go about our lives and accept whatever happens, we must take charge and live according to how it would please God and be able to shape our own future.
According to Proverbs 16:9, a man's mind plans his ways, but God directs his paths.
So the children of God have the power to devise, plan, and contemplate what they want to achieve in the future, with the assurance that the Lord will guide them and give them success.
For us to live right and upright, we should note that there's judgement coming at the end of our lives on earth. Knowing that would guide us through life and we'll be conscious of all we do and do with the fear of God.
Death would come someday, however, some may be fortunate enough to witness the coming of Jesus Christ and avoid death. Therefore, we must acknowledge and believe that we will die, and then consider what comes after our death.
According to Hebrews 9:27, man would die and face judgement. This is unavoidable, and we must be prepared for it. To be prepared for it, is to follow the path that God ordained for us to walk in, which is the path of doing good works, according to Ephesians 2:10.
So we should live to fulfill the purpose of God for creating us, obeying his will and living right.
So as children of God, we should know the future and shape it to suit us. We should serve God, fear him and obey his commandments while alive. We should do good works and be conscious that one day we will face the judgement of God.
