Zoom Mass Indoctrination Day 11, 10/4/2023

Greetings Everyone!

We were taught that it is not everything in the church that brethren should be commanded to do. In the Church of God, the Brethren are led by the spirit of God in doing so many things. Brethren are led to do so many other things in the Church of God without being commanded or told to do so.

Giving of offerings and making of vows are some of the things that the brethren should be doing willingly and without being told to do so. The breath should be willing of themselves to carry out giving of contributions. When they're willing, they'll be blessed by God. So in the true Church of God, the Brethren should be obedient and willing to serve God diligently without being told to do so.

Second Corinthians Chapter 9, verse 7 adviced the brethren to give as they purpose in their hearts for God loves a cheerful giver.

This means that, in the church of God, there's no fixed price for offerings or collection. Every offering or collection in the Church of God should be done willingly by the Brethren.

As Christians, we should follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. As the apostles of Christ didn't pay tithes or asked the brethren to pay tithes, the brethren should not be asked to pay tithes. Tithes is 10 percent of the brethren's income, it has a fixed price as such, should not be practiced. So tithing was for the Israelite, and now that we are under the doctrine of Christ, we should not practice it anymore.

Every offering in the Church of God should be voluntarily given to help the church in paying bills and for internet subscription and for reaching out to the needy including building of churches, etc.
So the brethren should be voluntary in their contributions to help the spreading of the gospel. They should not be forced to pay or put to shame for not contributing.

When the Brethren make contribution in the Church of God, the Bible admonished them not to make it known to the public what they contributed. Their contributions should be between them and God. Our contribution should be secret, God that sees in secret is the one that will reward in open.
Jesus said that when we boast of our contribution before men, we receive our rewards, but if we do not, God will bless us openly.

Making vows is another voluntary act on the church that the brethren should not be forced to do. However, it is better not to vow than vow without redeeming. So brethrens that make vows should redeem their vows.

Also, Brethrens should offer offerings of Thanksgiving to God for his numerous blessings and protection.

Hello, thank you for sharing your thoughts on the topic of giving and tithing according to the bible.

I agree with you that the brethren should be led by the spirit of God and not by human commands or traditions. I also appreciate your explanation of why tithing is not applicable to Christians today, and how we should give willingly and cheerfully according to our hearts. I think this is a very important lesson to learn and practice in our service to God.

May God bless you and your family sister @idyukpong

Amen.
Thank you Sir
