Good day brethren , i am very Glad i had the opportunity to listen to Gods words today i have really learnt alot from bro eli's words, and I will make sure to impart them in my daily life correcting my children with love.
What are the important points we have learned from God's words discussed in the Zoom meeting?
i learnt that childrens behaviors are imitation of what they see in thier environment , its been said that evil deeds done by others, becomes right in the sight of children, thats why they show all this bad habits at home, so we have to correct them when they do what is wrong either by disciplining them through either beating them or giving them punishment through chores, though it is not supported in every part of the world for example in Argentina, it is not allowed to beat children, the propee way to discipline our children according to the bible is by spanking them to correct thier mistakes, proverb 13:24- we learnt here that if we refuse to correct our children by spanking them we will end up destroying them. if we don't punish our children it means we don't love him or her,but they are limits to how we correct our children , we should not injure them severly in the name of correction, proverb23:13-i understood that we should not withhold correction from our children, correcting them is a way of showing that you love them.
i learnt here that we should correct our children with love in our hearts for them, if you look at other countries will see homes where children are not corrected or punished for wrong doing which in turn makes them to do evil things, this is due to the law that prohibits parents from spanking thier chilren which is very bad especially for the parents some can get arrested for correcting thier child with love in mind, we should learn to punish our children because we love them not out of hate, many children now at days are veey disobedient because of lack of nurture and correction from thier parents which allows them to act as they please, which is seriously wrong cause it leads to do evil in the future, so as children of God we are expected to follow Gods words concerning disciplining our children, 1 cor 14:37- what they said here was that if any thinks he is a man of God or spiritual he should acknowledge the things God has written as his commandments. we can also discipline our children in many ways one of those ways is by pointing out thier mistakes after spanking them,1 Timothy 5:8-i understood that if we as parents do not provide for our children that we are not of God and that we are worse than infidels.
What are our old beliefs or expectations that were improved by listening in the Zoom meeting?
I use to believe that we as christains are not expected to be violent towards our children but i now understand that it is not violence but correcting them in love and that correct way to discipline our children is by spanking them, so that they will flee from all form evil and that if we refuse to spank our children to correct them that we are actually doing evil unto them as it said in proverb 13:24- that if we spare them from correction that we donot love our children but instead hate them, i have also realized that following Gods commandment is the best way to live and we cannot identify ourselves as true christains if we cannot follow Gods commandment.
How does the study affect us that can make us a better person that we can use in our daily lives?
Todays program has given me deep understanding on disciplining my children, i have now understood that the best way to correct my child from mistakes and part of evil is by spanking them if not they will destroy themselves, i will do my best to correct my kids in any area of thier lives that they have made mistakes,also i will make my children understand the reason for thier spanking or punishment after i discipline them so that they will deter from it , i will al follow Gods commandment and love my neighbors and also correct my children with love in my heart, i will make my self better by applying correction into my daily life so that i can correct others and also be corrected by them.
