The reason is not that God is far from us, but we have taken a road that made us very very far away from Him. God is always near to us, He never was so far from us but we have gone so far from Him; in our thoughts, in our ways, in our attitudes, in our characters, in our likes and inklings in life—we have gone too far from Him. Malachi 3:7 says
"Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from my ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and i will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. But ye said, wherein shall we return?”
So going away along the road, you’ll find signs that tell you to detour, people have detoured from the way that was prepared by the Lord. How do we return to the Lord? Returning to the ordinances wherein we have gone so far away from God, returning to the reproofs of God, returning to the ways of God is returning to God.
So why does He seem so far away from our prayers, from our requests, from our likes? Because we have gone so far and not Him, He is not so far from us; we are so far way from Him because we have gone astray, we have had a detour. There are so many detours we have made in our lives, but if we travel the road of life that is destined to us by God, i believe there will be no regrets.
To be near Him and to find Him in our daily lives, let us go back to His ordinances and we will find an ever compassionate and loving God who is always ready to hear our prayers. Ths is Bro. Eli Soriano's answer to the question in the topic.
Thank you for reading.
Taking a detour is very dangerous, straying from God's pathway for us exposes us to many dangers because we go far away from God.
We are disobedient and do not want to live under the control of God, that's why we always feel God is so far away.
Sins takes us far away from God but as far as I’m concerned, the hands of God are so wide and he’s ready to receive us at all times
Our sin separates us from God and make it seem as if God is far away from us.
