Text that we can consider as the heart of Christian doctrine is this verse, which speaks about love. The apostle Paul reminds us that beyond all rules or traditions there is something key that goes much further and consists of loving others as we love ourselves. Are we really loving ourselves?
When we talk about loving our neighbor we are not talking about a simple temporary feeling, we are talking about action and this implies having compassion for other people, helping those who are in need, forgiving. When we begin to live under this principle we are reflecting the same character of the Lord Jesus Christ and we are fulfilling at the same time the purpose that is the law of God.
Because all the law is fulfilled in this one word: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Texto que podemos considerar como el corazón de la doctrina cristiana es este versículo, que habla acerca del amor. El apóstol Pablo nos recuerda que más allá de toda regla o toda tradición existe algo clave que va mucho más allá y consiste en amar a los demás así como nos amamos a nosotros mismos. ¿Realmente nos estamos amando a nosotros mismos?.
Cuando hablamos de amar al prójimo no estamos hablando de un simple sentimiento temporal, estamos hablando de acción y esto implica tener compasión por los demás personas, ayudar a aquellos quienes están necesitando, perdonar. Cuando comenzamos a vivir bajo este principio estamos reflejando el mismo carácter el señor Jesucristo y estamos cumpliendo a la vez el propósito que es la ley de Dios.
Porque toda la ley en esta sola palabra se cumple: Amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo.
