This verse speaks to us of the absolute truth that Jesus is eternal, divine, and that Jesus Christ is the very image of God incarnated among humanity.
We see that at the beginning of the text it says "In the beginning was the Word." I'm closing the quotation marks. This means that before creation, before time existed, Jesus himself already existed. Jesus is not a created being; Jesus is eternal, with no beginning or end.
When it says "and the Word was with God," it shows us that there is a perfect relationship within the Trinity. In the beginning, Jesus was with the Father from the beginning of creation, and the Holy Spirit hovered over the waters. Later, we have said, "the Word was God." Here we understand that he was not with God, but that he himself is God. There is no difference between the essence and the creative power. Jesus Christ is the same God who came to earth to save us in the flesh.
This text challenges us to know Jesus much more, not simply as a friend or as a teacher, but as God himself, who gave his life to save us, who is the manifestation of justice and truth for all men.

Éste versículo nos habla de esta verdad absoluta que Jesús es eterno, divino, Jesucristo es la misma imagen de Dios encarnada entre los hombres.
Vemos que en el principio del texto dice "En el principio era el verbo cierro comillas esto quiere decir de que antes de la creación, antes de que existiera el tiempo el mismo Jesús ya existía, Jesús no es un ser creado, Jesús es eterno no tiene principio ni fin.
Cuando dice "y el verbo era con Dios" aquí nos muestra que existe una perfecta relación dentro de la Trinidad Jesús en el principio estaba con el padre desde el inicio de la creación y el espíritu Santo se movía sobre la faz de las aguas. Más tarde le hemos "el verbo era Dios" aquí entendemos que no estaba con Dios sino que el mismo es Dios, no hay diferencia entre la misma esencia y el poder creador, Jesucristo es el mismo Dios que vino a la tierra para salvarnos hecho carne.
Este texto nos desafía a conocer mucho más a Jesús, no simplemente como un amigo o como maestro, sino como el mismo Dios, quien dio su vida para salvarnos quién es la manifestación de la justicia y verdad para con todos los hombres.
En el principio era el Verbo, y el Verbo era con Dios, y el Verbo era Dios.
