This is a call to be receptive, Jesus Christ urges us to pay attention to the spiritual truths that He has shared with us. Many times we can hear the word of God but we do not make it flesh in our daily life, that is to say: we do not apply it, this text invites us to go beyond just knowing and listening.
The Lord Jesus knows very well that all those who listen are not willing to just accept or put into practice His teachings, this suggests a personal decision and therefore we must be willing to receive the truth understanding that faith requires an effort to understand and put into practice the word of God. This verse invites us to reflect on whether we are really listening to God or are we paying attention to the circumstances of our lives, are we attentive to the distractions of what life offers us?

Prestar atención no solamente escuchando con los oídos físicos, también es necesario escuchar con el corazón.
Esta es una llamada para estar receptivo, Jesucristo nos insta a que prestemos atención a las verdades espirituales que nos ha compartido. Muchas veces podemos oír la palabra de Dios pero no la hacemos carne en nuestra vida diaria es decir: no le aplicamos, este texto nos invita a ir más allá de sólo conocer y escuchar.
El señor Jesús sabe muy bien que todos los que escuchan no están dispuestos sólo a aceptar o a poner en práctica sus enseñanzas, esto sugiere una decisión personal y por ello debemos estar dispuestos a recibir la verdad entendiendo que la fe requiere de un esfuerzo también para comprender y poner en práctica la palabra de Dios. Éste versículo nos invita a reflexionar si realmente estamos escuchando a Dios o estamos prestando atención a las circunstancias de nuestras vidas, ¿estamos atento a las distracciones de qué nos ofrece la vida?.
Entonces les dijo: El que tiene oídos para oír, oiga.
