If there's one verse that's well-known and most repeated, it's this one. It's also one of the most powerful when we fully understand its meaning.
We must keep in mind that this verse isn't a magic phrase that says, "If we repeat it, everything will be fine." It doesn't mean, "I can do all things," as if I were a superstar, that I'm the best, and no one can surpass me. This "I can do all things" means that I'm not alone, and with Christ, I can face whatever comes my way.
We see that this text was written by someone who was locked up, imprisoned in jail in one of the worst situations a human being can experience. Yet, Paul said he was content, whether in scarcity or abundance, in calm or in trials, because it was simply Christ who strengthened him. In Christ, we find strength.
Do you remember how many times you felt tired, frustrated, or downright lacking in desire because things didn't go as planned? Sometimes the burden seems very heavy, but that's where we can apply this verse, since it doesn't depend solely on our own strength. When we place our faith and strength in Christ, we discover an inexhaustible source and a peace that has little to do with circumstances or the peace the world gives us. Si existe un versículo bastante conocido y de los que más se repite es este, a su vez este es también uno de los más poderosos cuando entendemos bien su alcance.
Hay que tener en cuenta que este versículo no se trata de una frase mágica que si la repetimos todo saldrá bien, porque no significa todo lo puedo como si fuese que soy un capó, que soy el mejor y nadie me puede superar, este "todo lo puedo" significa que no estoy solo y con Cristo puedo enfrentar todo lo que se presente.
Vemos que este texto fue escrito por alguien que estaba encerrado, preso en la cárcel en una de las peores situaciones que un ser humano puede experimentar, aún así, Pablo decía estar contento, ya sea en escasez o en abundancia, en la calma o en las pruebas porque simplemente era Cristo quien le fortalecía, en Cristo hallamos fortaleza.
¿Recuerdas cuántas veces te sentiste cansado, frustrado o directamente sin ganas porque las cosas no salen como lo planeaste? A veces la carga parece muy pesada pero ahí es donde podemos aplicar este versículo ya que no depende sólo de nuestras fuerzas. Cuando depositamos nuestra fe y nuestras fuerzas en Cristo, descubrimos una fuente inagotable y una paz que poco tiene que ver con las circunstancias o la paz que el mundo nos da. ¿Quieres experimentar esta fortaleza inquebrantable?
