There is no such thing in the Bible that we have to worship only Jesus Christ because by worshipping him we are worshipping the father. There is no such thing as that. The Lord Jesus Christ reiterated to Christians to worship the father.
John 4:23,
But the hour cometh, and now is when the true worshippers shall worship the father in spirit and in truth, for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
This is one of the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ to worship the Father. We're not to exclude the father. We can worship both the father and the son. There are ways to worship the father and the son.
First Peter 3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you, a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
This tells us to sanctify the Lord God in your hearts or worship the Lord God in your hearts.
According to the revised standard version.
But in your hearts, reverence Christ as Lord, always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who calls you to account for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness and reverence.
The verse tells us to reveal the Lord Jesus Christ in our hearts. So. We have to worship the father. We also have to worship the son. In fact, even angels are commanded by God to worship the Son.
Hebrews 1:6
And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
So the Lord Jesus Christ is worthy of worship, but we do not exclude the father in our worship. When you worship the son, you worship also the father. If you worship the father, you must also worship the son.
John Chapter 14:1
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
That just simply means you have to follow God. You have to follow the Lord Jesus Christ, but you do not do it singly to the Lord Jesus Christ alone or to the father alone. Otherwise you will be an Antichrist.
First John 2:22
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
Not to be an Antichrist, we have to accept both the father and the son. But he that denied the father, and the son is an Antichrist. So for you to be saved or excluded from the term Antichrist in the Bible, do not deny the son, do not deny the father. If you want to be Of Christ and not an Antichrist, believe the father, believed the son, worship the father and worship the son. Obey the father and obey the son. That is it. You have something to obey from the father, and you have something to obey from the son. The son and the father is a one that we have to follow. We will never separate the father from the Lord Jesus Christ.
First Corinthians 1:/3.
But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God.
Christ without God is a headless person.
John 14:28
You have heard how I said unto you, I go away and come again unto you. If he loved me, he would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the father, for my father is greater than I.
My father is greater than I have to worship the father. You have to worship the son. You have faith in the father and have faith also in the son. You have to obey the father and obey also the son. You have to take the name of the father and take also the name of the son.
