LESSONS:
The Bible records that we were created in Christ Jesus unto Good Works that God has ordained before time that we should walk in them. So we should always do good works, even though when we do good works we will be persecuted, we will be fought. We should continue, for in doing so God will reward us openly. The people that God recognizes as his people are those that are doing good works, those that are taking care of the needy, those that are feeding the hungry, those that are clothing the naked. Jesus Christ said that his brethren are those that are doing good works, those that visit the prisoners, those that do good to the orphans, to the widows. So we should always continue in doing good works knowing that. God's obligation for us is to do good works. So we should allow our Members As instruments of doing good works. The Bible say present your body as a living sacrifice. So our bodies should be presented to God as living sacrifice of doing good works.
How can we become good fathers?
To become a good father, one must know the doctrines of Christ Jesus and be able to bring up his children in the ways of God. We are to train up our children in the way they will go so that when they are old they will not depart from it. So we should train our children in the doctrines of Christ. And if the father does not know the doctrines of Christ, then he will not be able to train the children in the ways of God. So the father should know the doctrines of Christ. Ecclesiastes admonishes us remember our creators in the days that we are still young. So fathers should be able to admonish their children to know God and serve God while they're still young when they still have their strength. Fathers should not provoke their children to anger, to wrath. They should admonish them in the ways of God and continue to bring them up in the doctrines of Christ.
Paul the Apostle admonished Timothy, who was also a teacher in the Church of God, not to rebuke elders. Not because elders have done something wrong they should be rebuked right away. No, they should be respected because we are to respect our elders. We are to respect our parents. So if an elderly person does something wrong. We should not rebuke him or her right away, but we should respectfully point out what they have done wrong. So that they were able to take corrections.
We should always endeavour to do good works. Doing good will always bring us good. There is no evil in it. Whenever somebody asks us of anything, we should give cheerfully. For God, who has given us all these things, will still replenish what we have given out.
FORMER BELIEF:
I don't have any contrary view on this teaching
