Good morning Brethren in Christ. You are welcome again to my blog. We thank God for our lives and continuous blessings. We have met again to share the word of God. Thanks to Bro. Eli for his selfless support taking his time daily to teach the word of God base on what the bible says.
Last 2 days, we were able to review
the message of "Does God allow all things to happen, including evil? That was part 1 of the this teachings. So we saw that certain things are from our own negligence and evil doing since God has given us our will and choice and sometimes we may abuse these choices and otp for bad deeds. Through the good teachings of the Bible my Bro. Eli, many scriptures in the Bible revealed so many instance that people have committed bad things. In all, we still cry to God and blame him to for allowing such incidence to come upon us.
Looking at the other side of our lessons, we found out that certain things too don't just happen normal as we see it. Sometimes God may allow certain things to happen to us just to test the level of our faith or to test whether we really love him.
A scenario in the Bible is when God allowed Satan to tempt Job's level of faith if not the possession or belongings he endowed with Job, but if is really base on truth faith for God Almighty. In the story Satan insisted that Job would deny God from worshipping him if he test his faith. But God proofed that Job faith for him is the original but not the fake one. Satan requested from God to touch job through temptation if Job wouldn't turn his back to God. God allowed Satan to tempt Job through pains on his body and lost of all his property including his children and farm animals. But, God warns Satan not to touch his soul.
The Job's Story: Job 1:1-21(NIV).....
"In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. He had seven sons and three daughters, and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East. His sons used to hold feasts in their homes on their birthdays, and they would invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. When a period of feasting had run its course, Job would make arrangements for them to be purified. Early in the morning he would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular custom. One day the angels[a] came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them. The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.” Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”“Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.” The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.” Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord. One day when Job’s sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, a messenger came to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys were grazing nearby, and the Sabeans attacked and made off with them. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!” While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, “The fire of God fell from the heavens and burned up the sheep and the servants, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!” While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, “The Chaldeans formed three raiding parties and swept down on your camels and made off with them. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!” While he was still speaking, yet another messenger came and said, “Your sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house. It collapsed on them and they are dead, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!” At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”
So the Bible says that upon all what Job went through he never altered a word that was blasphemy to God. But, through faith he said : "It's God who gives and is God who takes; The Lord God gave and the Lord God has taken away!", Lord be praise!"
Look that extract Job revealed with great faith in God. Yes, at times when the faith is great, even when you lose, God restores it back. Great be to his name, He restored Job's properties if you read further. Job's faith should be a lesson to all of us who go through anguish and lose faith in God.
The second scenario is a man who was born blind. As Jesus was passing by his disciples asked whether the man born blind was due to the sin committed by his parents but Jesus into them that is neither the mother or the father who caused this blindness but this happened for the word of God to be revealed and accepted.
"The story a man born blind John 9:1-3(NIV)..."
"As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him."
This is obvious from the biblical point of view that not all things are also from the sins we commit but to reveal the word of God, to make the word of God sound great and many people would have faith that the word of God isn't like any ordinary message but anointed one. So, after the one that all the neighborhood has lost hope due to his blindness from womb has now seen, his vision has now been corrected by Jesus through God Almighty, many people accepted the word of God and now begin to lean themselves. That's really how God Almighty works.
That is so true
Thanks for your quick comment. I really appreciate.
