Many are actually searching to find the true God, but are searching the wrong way. Many claim that since God has not appeared to say, "I am God", that there's no God. In this teaching, we'll learn how to find the true God of heaven.

Jesus Christ ascended into heaven, but that didn't end the reign of God on this world.
In his words in John 12:30 -32,
Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
So Jesus has promised to draw us to himself if he be lifted upon the earth.
While on earth, he was preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God.
In the wilderness, Moses lifted a brazen serpent up as a symbol of salvation to those who would care to look up to it. So there must be a deliberate efforts by man to look unto Jesus.
As Moses lifted the serpent up and the children of Israel looked to it and were health, so is the lord Jesus Christ. When we look unto him, we shall not perish, but have eternal life. The Lord Jesus Christ must be lifted up into heaven from this earth because when he was on Earth he was preaching the salvation of God.
According to Christ, when he is lifted, he will draw all men to himself. This is because he that is above, is above all.
Before he was lifted to heaven, he instructed his disciples in Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
We can from the scripture see that Jesus Christ ascending to heaven is a great hope for us, because he would still be spiritually with is till the end of the age. We can also see that all power was given to Christ. When Jesus ascended into heaven, the more that we have to acknowledge that we now have true God in this world, in the person and in the power of the Lord Jesus Christ, because he said, I will be with you even unto the end of the world, he will be with us on Earth with his power extending from the throne of God unto this Earth.
So because Jesus Christ ascended into heaven does not imply that there's no true God here on earth.
1 John 5:20
And we know that the son of God is come and hath given us an understanding that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
The lord Jesus Christ manifested in the flesh to show us that there's a true God, though in heaven, but has extended his powers to this world and is always with us.
