Should we worship only the lord Jesus Christ?
By worshipping the lord Jesus Christ, we're worshipping the father. So, there's nothing like worshipping only the lord Jesus Christ. The lord Jesus Christ and the father are one.
However, the lord Jesus Christ said that a time shall come where we'll worship the father in spirit and in truth, according to John 4:23.
We cannot exclude the father when we're worshipping. We worship both the father and the lord Jesus Christ together.
This is one of the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ to worship the Father. We're not to exclude the father. We can worship both the father and the son. There are ways to worship the father and the son.
First Peter 3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you, a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
According to the verse, we can sanctify the lord in our hearts.
So we can worship the father and also worship the lord Jesus Christ. In the book of Hebrews 1:6, God commanded the angles to worship the lord Jesus Christ.
We should worship the lord Jesus Christ, buiwe should not exclude God the father.
If you worship the father, you must also worship the son.
John 14:1
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
So Jesus admonished us to believe in his and in the father. This is because they are one. If we exclude the father while worshipping, we are antichrist, beas Jesus asked us to believe Alsop in the father.
1 John 2:22
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
We must worship both the father and the son in order to avoid being an Antichrist.
Jesus Christ himself admonished us to worship the father, he said that the father is greater than him. So we should worship whom Jesus worships, if we don't want to be considered as an antichrist.

Totally agree with you brother @kufre. It's significant to worship the Father and the Son together since they're one. Let's keep Jesus' teachings in mind and aim to worship genuinely and wholeheartedly. Appreciate the thought-provoking discussion!
