Lessons learnt from the Worship Service

Here are highlights on some of the lessons learned during the worship service in Zoom on the 7th of May 2021.
Our brother emphasized on out obligation to help each other, not to put someone in bad light or insult anyone. He said, we should accept criticism and look at areas where we can correct ourselves, saying the best way to correct someone is to correct them with meekness, rather than sharply. The reason is because in 2 timothy 2:25 “Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth”.
People that are corrected in meekness has a larger possibility of listening and thereby taking correction.

Our brother also emphasized on the point that we should never doubt God, even if we are in difficulties. We should remain faithful like Job who was willing to hold in to his faith in God regardless of the situation he found himself. We should learn to trust that God can do all things and He can take care of us. The enemy is the instigator of doubt in our minds, when we begin to doubt, then the enemy has won the battle.

Our brother read from the book of Hebrew 10:26 “If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left”
The above verse talks about our attitude to sin, saying if we deliberately continue in the ways of sinfulness even after hearing the truth, then there is no sacrifice left for our sins. Christ is the sacrifice for our sins, if we deliberately continue in the act of sin, The end is death, because there would be no hope for you. The truth we need to receive is the knowledge of Christ Jesus, as our Lord and Savior who died for Us to be saved.
Now, if you are in doubt, you draw back from your faith in Christ Jesus, we should learn to build our faith In God.
James 1:6 “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind”.
