This is my entry post to this wonderful and edifying community and I look forward to learning, unlearning and relearning from this great platform.
Brother Eli's teaching on Forgiveness of sin is really eye opening and edifying.
He carefully showed us with scriptural references how broad God's forgiveness can be and also encourages believers to avoid deliberately sinning as God reproach such.
Not only God has to forgive but we as humans too needs to forgive those who sin against us as many as (490) times. But anyone who sin against us 490 times is not a friend obviously and I'll say we should flee from such individual.
Brother Eli also describe the two types of sins for us as seen in 1 John 5:16:
- ## Sin unto death
Hebrew 10:26 as showed clearly describe this kind of sin as deliberate sins committed repeatedly after the sinner is already exposed to the knowledge of truth in Christ Jesus then such individual will answer for it on the day of judgement.
- ## Sin not unto death
These are sins committed because of our weaknesses, Unintentional, unknowingly, temptations or via situations that is beyond our control. It may even be repeated as this only shows how our body can make vulnerable and to do things we don't really want to do but this sins must not be intentional or pre-meditated.
These kind of sins are forgivable and this goes to further proof that God forgiveness is broad.
Finally, this message is clear on its objective as its been stressed in the YouTube video by Brother Eli that believers should avoid sinning deliberately as anyone who does this never had a genuine faith in him as stated in 1 John 2:19.
May the lord bless us and continues to show more light of his words to us to guide our way IN JESUS NAME. AMEN
