Thanks be to God for another successful mass indoctrination service held on zoom. It was really another awesome time learning the doctrine of Christ. We continued with the subject prayer and this time we went a little deeper in that lecture.
Prayer means asking from God or requesting from God. It is also a means of communicating to the Father. Prayer should be done with thanksgiving, meaning our request should be said on the premise of thanksgiving and not with worry and that's according to Phillipians 4:6. We give thanks because we believe that whatever we desire and ask from the father is already granted just as it's established in the book of Mark 11:24
Every believer has the responsibility to pray,we all have access God through Jesus. It therefore means we are not to contract anyone to prayer on our behalf just like a particular circle do. They contact Mary to pray for them which is not biblical.
Jesus teaching about prayer in the book of Luke 18:1 says that men ought always to pray and not to faint, the book of 1Thess. 5:17 also admonished us as believers to pray without season, meaning we should pray both in the day and in the night. Prayer before going to bed at night thanking Him for his goodness towards you and yours throughout the day and when you wake in the morning give thank likewise before requesting and avoid vain repetition like the heathen do.
One of the ingredient to answered prayer is purity and holiness, as believers you must be pure at heart and that according to John 9:31 which says that God hears those who are upright but ignores the prayer of a sinner, He only hears those who do His will and keep His commandments.
If you want God to hear your prayers, you would have to follow the principle as outlined in the book of 2Chron.7:14 which says if my people that are called by my name shall humble themselves and turn away from their evil ways,He will forgive them and even heal their land... It means God will give ears to the prayers of those who desire to turn a new leaf.
Those who would want their prayer answered should also avoid working in the flesh. It's not a good place to be. We can see the activities of the flesh outline in the book of Galatians 5:19-22. Everyone who engages in these things will not inherit the kingdom of God..
Luke 6:45 rightly established that those who works in the flesh (the wicked) will exhibits characters of the flesh out of the abundance of what they have within and a good man also brings out good treasures and virtues out of the abundance of what he has on the inside. Our mouth also should be consecrated to the service and worship of God and not otherwise just as it is being established in the book of James 3:10.
1 Peter 3:11 says that the eyes of the Lord is upon the righteous and His ears are opened to His prayers but His face is against the wicked. In a nutshell the prayer of a sinner is always an abomination to the almighty..
These are the lessons I learnt from the indoctrination service.May God bless the entire MCGI team for their selfless work for humanity.
We are inviting you to join the MCGI Cares (Hive) community that study the words of God and also earn some reward by making our reactions on it. We can check this link https://peakd.com/c/hive-182074/trending
Thanks be to God for listening on our meeting.
MCGI Cares (Hive) community's main mission is to share the words of God, not the Hive upvotes. If we get upvotes, please treat it as just a bonus. Do not focus mainly on material things as the bible is teaching us not to look at things seen but rather focus our eyes on things not seen.
II CORINTHIANS 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Indeed, prayers is the only way to communicate to God.
You're right brother.. thanks for dropping by.
