I want to share and summarize what I learned from today's teachings by Bro Elisoriano
I learned that it is everyone's responsibility to do good, Our obligations is to be the light that shines to the world and never burns out, we should give light in the midst of darkness by holding forth the word of life.
Our manner of life should speak and our relationship should express good thing, it should give life to the people, thatvis our responsibilities.
1 Pet 2 vs 12; we should do good work towards men that even when they're doing us evil they will hold on to our good work and praise our father in heaven in days of visitation. Wife should be subjected to the husband and by so doing she will gain him ( 1 Pet 3 vs 1 )
He reason why God gave these obligations to be light of the world ( Mat 5 vs 14-16 ) is so that they will know theirs a good God, his goodness can be reflected in us. Men will glory our God because of our good work, so we should let our light do shine that darkness will not be able to comprehend it.
I also learned that we should not allow the name of God to be blasphemed through our act ( Rom 2 vs 23 ). We should love other religion and not reject them.
We should love all and if anyone wants to join the church and won't love, he/she should not bother to join
I also learned that if we see that a church or gathering is doing evil, we should never join them, such gathering profess to know God but deny him through work ( Titus 1 vs 16 ), and if anyone is doing evil in the church, such person should be expelled after been corrected first and second time, theirs expulsion in church ( Titus 3 vs 10 ), in order not to corrupt others in church ( 1 Cor 15 vs 33). No one should be tolerated to do evil, even if it is minister, we should pray that God should deliver us from them ( Eze 34 vs 10 ), God said he will deliver His flock from them, so God can do it.
The true church in the bible isn't an oppressive church, the commandments is to do good, obey and don't do shameless act
If we're righteous the result is we will be able to persuade souls and you're wise for winning souls ( Prov 11 vs 30 ). Whoever converts a sinner has saved a soul from death and shall hide a multitude of sin ( James 5 vs 19 ), a soul is precious to God over 99 righteous people, rejoice will be in heaven over one sinner that repented.
We can make God happy by winning souls for him, and the only way we can achieve that is by doing good which will help us in gaining them.
To join the church, you must be good and God promise to multiply the church that does the obligations ( Jer 30 vs 19 )
Some promises people through lust of the flesh, promising them jobs and money and they multiply their gathering with that but those that does things of God, God himself will multiply them
I also learned that we should compare things to another and then hold to the truth ( Eccl 7 vs 27 ), we should hold on to the word of truth, and by doing all that has been commanded to us, we shall be His people and Him our God ( Jer 30 vs 19 )
How the study affect me
I've learned to do good to all men and be light to all darkness and to always hold in to the truth, it has really changed some of m belief and I'm so blessed with the teachings
