From what we were taught today at the mass Indoctrination Session,we were told that we should not listen to any other doctrine except the doctrine of Christ, Matthew 17:5, Jesus is the only teacher, what we should listen to or hear should be from the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ,he is the only teacher appointed by the father Mark 7:7,we should know that if we listen to any Other doctrine that is not of Christ it has implications.
How Jesus taught the disciples before he ascended to heaven,he left instructions to his apostles and everything he saiyis what we should obey.
In addition,I learnt that Jesus alone is our master and we must listen to him. Noting that if we listen to false doctrines, we leaves the commandment of God and lives in commandment of men. He said that such worship is a worship in Vain.
Brother Eli spoke about the importance of baptism. Using Matthew 28:19-20, he stated that before Christ ascension to heaven, he instructed his disciples to go into the world and make disciples of them through baptism in the name of the father, son and holy ghost. And also teach them to observe things commanded by God. This makes baptism the first doctrine of Christ. He also taught us that baptism is not among the 10 commandments but prepares us for the commandment. He also said that before anyone gets baptism, he should listen and accept the doctrines.
Bro Eli stated that anything which is not written in the bible is not a commandment and we should not accept it. St. Paul said, everything I write to you is the commandment. Speaking about same Paul, he narrated as Paul persecuted the people of God but later turned to God and was baptized.
However, after being baptized,Paul became a member of the church of God 1Chorintians 1:2, Baptism is the first doctrine apostle Paul received for him to become a member of the church of God.
Galatians 1:22&23,It was very clear that Paul persecuted the church of God first while he was still in the new church but when he was called he received the word and was baptized before becoming a member of the church of God.
Acts 2'46, It is therefore said that before baptism one should receive the words and examine the doctrine first before baptism.
The Bible says Christ is the head of the church, and yet if you reject Christ that means you are an Antichrist 3John 1:9&10.
In conclusion, Ephesians 3:10,the church will be the instrument of God for the doctrines of truth will be preached which is the truth and the right doctrines.. thanks be to God.
