Thanks be to God, I am very happy to take part in today's teaching, during the teaching Bro Eli discusses fellowship with brethrens and Love.
The teaching about fellowship was made clearer in the book of Galatians 6:10,there are people or churches where they kill people outside of their church,John 8:44 if any Christian was taught to kill that is a murderer and they are of the devil,they kill and they think it's good? John 16:2, these churches when you are no longer on their side they can cause you evil Romance 8:32.
In addition,we were made to know the necessity of treating others well irrespective of their relationship with you. The fact of them being your church member or doesn't matter. We are encouraged to treat everyone with kindness.
Furthermore,in his teachings,he spoke about killings which people commit against non members of their fellowship,
and he condemned the act of some religions encouraging their members to commit murder in service to God.
More importantly,LOVE, according to the bible,the greatest commandment of God is "LOVE". he referenced the book of colossians 3:14 which says, "in everything out love first, which is bond of perfection.
ORDER OF LOVE
Brother Eli made me understand that love should first be accorded to God, then to our fellow men, and also we should love our enemies. Love is the basis of all the commandments.we are made to understand Today's, I learnt that we are under command to love our enemies, feed them, and cloth them. Just as God, who shows his righteousness to both the good and the bad, we were encouraged to do same to our fellow human whether they are good to us or not, Malachi 7:2.
In addition, explanations came from the book of Hosea 10:12, 1 cor. 9:20-22, 1 Timothy 2:4, Brother Eli used these verses in the teaching of approach to fellow humans, and for having no hatred towards our fellow human he referenced Act 24:16, Isaiah 58:1.
I also learnt we shouldn't seek people's downfall, rather pray for them who hates us.
However, today,I learnt the importance of forgiveness. We were encouraged today to forgive and seek peace with those who offends us. Matthew 5:7 bless are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy from God. Forgiving others is the way to open God's heart into forgiving us. Lastly, we are asked to treat people the same way we will love to be treated.
Conclusively, let us do good to all men.
