Greetings to all my friends, what a pleasure to be here with you. It is an honor to share with you today a topic that has helped me a lot in my personal life, I am referring to faith.
In this brief article I want to tell you how to strengthen it so that we can increase our love for God every day, as well as learn to hope in his beautiful power. The first thing to know is that faith has been a light in the midst of darkness in our days. And as you can surely see, we need it more than ever.
In my personal case, faith has been a guide in difficult times, especially when I am going through trials or situations that pressure me to stop in the faithful service that we give to God. But on those days I remember why I do it, and I also remember everything that God has done for me, as well as the valuable things that He has in store for us in the future. The truth is that when I reflect on the importance of keeping our faith alive, I realize how much it influences our daily lives and our relationships with others and with God.
But faith is fundamental to our relationship with God. Without faith, it is impossible to please God, as I learned in Hebrews 11:6, which I quote below: "But without faith it is impossible to please God, because he who comes to God must believe that he exists and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him." As you can clearly read, God is very pleased when people have true faith in him. Basically, our faith connects us with the divine, allows us to trust in God's promises and gives us the certainty that, even if we don't see the complete path, He is guiding us.
You know from personal experience that strengthening our faith is a continuous process that requires dedication and practice. But there are several things that have helped me and I will gladly share them with you.
First and foremost, prayer is one of the most important things. It is our direct line to God. Through it, we share our concerns, thanks, and desires. Jesus himself taught us the importance of praying continually and he told us this in Luke 18:1: "Jesus also told them a parable to the effect that they should always pray and not lose heart."
Second and very important, read the Bible and take advantage of reading it. This is something that I personally do daily. The truth is that it connects you with God in a very strong way and gives you the energy you need for your day. In addition, the written Word of God is an inexhaustible source of wisdom, because by meditating on the Scriptures (not just reading), our faith is nourished and grows. I also read it in Romans 10:17 "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
And of course another point that has helped me a lot is sharing my experiences and learning from others. This has helped me find support and encouragement in my brothers. Even in Hebrews 10:24-25 it is mentioned "And let us consider how to spur one another on toward love and good works; not neglecting to meet together, as is the manner of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
And now you may wonder, what other benefits do I get if I strengthen my faith? Well, I'll tell you that there are several, I have experienced it myself. The first thing it gives us is the calm necessary to face the challenges of life, knowing that God is in control. Philippians 4:6-7 assures us: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
In addition, faith fills us with hope, a certainty that God has good plans for us, as Jeremiah 29:11 says: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a hoped-for end."
And of course, as I said at the beginning, in difficult times, faith gives us the strength to move forward. Isaiah 40:31 promises us: "But those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint."
Dear brothers, let us never lose faith. Always remember that it is our anchor in times of storm, our refuge in moments of insecurity, and our guide on the journey of life. By staying firm in our faith, we find peace, hope, and strength to face any challenge that comes our way.
It has been a great pleasure to write this post for you today. I hope to return very soon. Until then I wish you the best and may God bless you.
