Why God allows us to suffer is because we are disobedient to His commandments. The reason for the suffering in the world is because people refuse to obey God's commandments. The way of sin and disobedience is wrong. The way of sin brings us suffering. That is not the purpose of God for us. The purpose of God is that we should enjoy a happy and fruitful life.
Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
The thought of God is for us to have a peaceful and prosperous life. That is a thought of good. God's thought for us is not a thought of evil. God wants us to achieve our expected end.
