When I listened to this video the comment of Bro Eli Soriano struck me right in my heart. Bro Eli said that many of us have taken a road that made us very very far from God. We have decided to take our own way and the way we have chosen for ourselves has made us very far away from God. Living our lives regardless of what God's commandments are have pushed us into a road that is far away from God. Now the irony is that having separated ourselves so far from God, we have gone to look for God, where He cannot be found.
God cannot be found in the path of our sins. God cannot be found in the path of our outright disobedience to His Word. God cannot be found when we are already given ourselves to doing what the devil tells us. God cannot be found when our minds and our hearts have no place for the laws of God. Sin has separated between man and God.
God is not far from us. He created us so that he will have fellowship with us always. He wanted us to be like him in righteousness and holiness. He loved us from the very beginning. His love for us has not changed. We should return back to God. We should refrain from our evil and sinful ways and repent. We should seek God through His Word and honor him. God is always near us. It is our sins that form the wall of separation between us and God.
Let us draw nearer to God.
