DOING GOOD TO ALL MEN// THE OLD PATH

Doing good to others is something we’re all called to do. The Bible makes it clear in

Galatians 6:10: “When we have the chance to do good, we should do it for everyone, especially for other believers.”

This verse reminds us to look out for opportunities to help, encourage, or support people around us. It doesn’t have to be a big act small gestures, like a kind word or a helping hand, can mean so much to someone who needs it.

Helping others is also a way we show obedience to God.

Matthew 5:16, “Let your light shine so people can see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”

When we choose to be kind, we reflect God’s love and give others a reason to see His goodness. Even simple acts, like sharing what we have or taking time to listen, can be powerful ways to shine God’s light in a dark world.
Of course, it’s not always easy to be kind, especially to people who hurt us or make life difficult. But Jesus challenges us to go beyond what feels natural.

Luke 6:27-28, He said, “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you.”

That’s tough, but it’s also freeing. When we choose love and forgiveness, we let go of anger and trust God to handle the rest.
In the end, doing good isn’t just about others it changes us, too.

Hebrews 13:16 “Don’t forget to do good and share with others, because these sacrifices please God.”

When we help others, we’re living out our faith and growing closer to God. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about making the world a little brighter and showing people the love that God so freely gives to us.
