I WANT TO DO GOD'S WILL but How Can I Stop Bad Things? || MCGI Topic Review.

It's another day to discuss this topic by MCGI CARES, given by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is always an enlightening moment in God's word.

According to one of our texts Romans 7:19-20:
19 "For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 "Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me."

Reading the above scripture deeply, you would understand that Apostle Paul wants to do good. He has a desire to live a righteous life, to obey God's commands, and to follow His will- We all want to do the same anyway.

But on the other hand, Apostle Paul finds himself practicing the very evil that he does not want to do. Despite his best intentions, he ends up doing the opposite of what he wants to do.

So, what is going on here? Why does Paul find himself doing the opposite of what he wants to do? The answer lies in sin and the human condition.
According to the Bible, sin is a fundamental aspect of the human condition. It is a result of the fall of humanity in Genesis 3, and it affects every aspect of our lives. Sin is not just something that we do; it is also a fundamental part of who we are which means it is natural.

This is what Paul means when he says that he practices the very evil that he does not want to do. Sin is a powerful force that can lead us to do things that are contrary to our Godly desires. Sin can still have a powerful influence over us, leading us to do things that we do not want to do. But then, if you do the things you wouldn't want to that's sin dwelling in you.

So, what is the solution to this problem? How can we overcome evil in our lives?
According to Titus 3:5: "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;"

Bro Eli Soriano explained vividly that we must first be washed and cleansed from our sins, and then we must be regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
It is only the Holy Spirit that can transform a man into living a sin-free life because He carries nature to us. We must keep fighting sin caused by our fleshly desires; if we do this, we will be like Apostle Paul, who said in Philippians 1:21: "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."

Thank you for reading to the end.

In a situation like this God is our only helper.

Sin comes at people sometimes unknowingly but if we have the power, it’s good to get ourselves out of it so that it won’t overcome us

Sin affects our lives and our communication the father

We do not have the ability on our own to stop doing evil. We need the help of God
