This is the summary of what l learnt during the 9th day of mass indoctrination led by Bro Eli.
I learnt that as christians we are required to do good.The question is where are we suppose to do the goodness.
WHERE TO DO GOODNESS
Hebrew 10:24-25
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Goodness should be shown to all fellow our men and especially those we are in fellowship with that is our christain brother or sister.
Most brethren do not care about their fellow brother or sister.
In the church of God we are entrusted to care for one another. The reason is;
WE ARE TO EXHORT ONE ANOTHER
God has commanded us to ensure we care for each other.We are assign to exhort one another when we come together us one body in Christ.We are not to collect tithe and offering alone us some group do.
MAINTENANCE AS A CHRISTIAN
As cars need maintenance, so do christians need maintenance.
I learnt that there are some things we need to consider as christians
- our consideration for one another
- our care and love for our brethren
- Doing good
- exhorting one another
James 2 : 1 -3
For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
We are to ensure that all members are treated well.The church of God should not just consider the rich because they are in fine clothes but all christians should be treated equally.We are to make sure that the poor among us should be fill with joy and comfort.
**2 John 1 : 12##
Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.
WHAT DO WE MEAN WHEN WE GATHER AS CHRISTIANS
Our christians gathering has a programme.The bible record the gathering of the apostle and members.
Act 20:7 ;
And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight
WHAT ARE THINGS WE SHOULD DO WHEN WE GATHER.
We come to gather we are require to sing praise
to God.
1 corithians 14:26
How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
colossians 3 : 16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord
We are to sing.because when we sing we drive out demons.The lord requires us to give Him praise for He adore us when we do that.
