I'm sorry to say that everyone that interpret that bread and wine to be the holy communion is actedly wrong, they do not understand that words of the Lord Jesus Christ.
John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
The words of the Lord Jesus Christ are in spirit,its spiritual which according to Him the flesh profiteth nothing
2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
If you read bread and wine it does not necessary because they are literal bread and wine. There are two kinds of bread in the bible Bread literal and Bread spiritual.
John 6:27, 50 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
It speak of the bread that cometh from heaven not the literal bread that came from bakery like the bread the catholic priest are giving each members and most of the time they give their members literal bread which they call host
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Every good gift, everything holy cometh down from heaven so the Lord Jesus Christ speaks of a bread that comes down from heaven definitely it is not the literal bread it is a bread or meat or food that do not perish but enjoy up to eternal life, its talking of things in spiritual so to your question the holy communion they are saying is not Holy it is Literal.
