These are points I learnt from the indoctrination teaching:
Brother Eli talked about Thanksgiving, contribution and offerings.
Contribution and vow should be given willing in the church by children of God. We shouldn't wait until anyone impose us to do so.
A vow come from the you, you are bind to your vows, I a man vow unto God he must fulfil it. It is not prohibited to many in the Bible to make vow.
Matthew 6:3
[3]But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
If a man vows unto God, he must not break his word but do according to what he has said. You are the one imposing the obligation unto yourself, once you bond your self to a vow or promise you must stand to fulfil it.
We should not differ from our vows.
God has no pleasure in fools. It is better not to vow than to vow and not fulfil it.
Vow is something wonderful, we can make vow if we want something favorable from God. Apostle Paul shave his hair because he made vow to God.
Vows should not be commanded on people, do according to the decision of your heart.
1 Corinthians 9:5
[5]Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?
Brother Eli said he did not preach the church because he needed money.
Brother Eli also said praising God should be together with good works.
You might not tell someone to do something and the person will do it voluntarily.
The offering of voluntary giving is also a vow.
2 Corinthians 8:3
[3]For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;
Praising God should also be our habit, it is also an offering to God. You shouldn't not be compelled to offer your offering to God. Thanksgiving should not be a command to the brethren.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
[18]In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
It is also important for us to contribute to do good works in propagating the Gospel.
Isaiah 1:19
[19]If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
