From the verses above you can see that the act of good work is not solely dependent on just mans ability, because by default the heart of man is evil and perverted. It takes the grace and mercy of good working in your heart 💓 to be able to resolve and agree to engage in the act of good works, however it takes even his quickening power for you to be able to actually do it.
The bible says in proverbs, trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. You see in Acts 17 the story of a husband and wife who tried to engage in the act of good works but banked on human understand and because the human mind without the spirit of God in it can easily be perverted from the original course.
To be able to overcome this problem, we need to seek God according to the verse below.
Act 17: 27.

That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
Seek God.

THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER.
matthew 13: 1 8:
18 “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom(A) and does not understand it, the evil one(B) comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.(C) 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth(D) choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”(E)
this is how people treat the word of God.

luke 8: 13, 14, 15
2 cor 6:11
These will not inheret the kindom of God.
