THE IMPORTANT POINTS IN THE LESSON
Greetings great people of MCGI Care Community! I bring us greetings in the name of the Lord. I want to appreciate God for this mass indoctrination program. It has been a program that is filled with many lessons.
Today's program has so much lessons, we were reminded that there are four kinds of hearts; three of which are unable to hold the word of God except they are changed of God.
Romans 6:4
We learnt from this scripture that we are buried with Christ by Baptism into death. After baptism we are expected to work in the newness of life. One change that would happen to us after baptism is that we would acquire the fear of the Lord which we help us stay away from sin.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Here we learnt that our coming into Christ is for us to be Changed. It says if anyone be in Christ he is a new creature old things have passed away. It is in Him we receive transformation.
1 John 5:16
We were taught from this scripture that there are two kinds of sin. There sin that are unto death (mortal sin) and there sin that are not unto death. We are taught that if we find our brothers commiting a sin that is not unto death that we should pray for him. But if we find the members of the Church of God commiting a sin that is unto death that we should not pray for him. If a sin is unto death it cannot be forgiven.
Titus 3:10
We learnt from this scripture that it is a good thing to warn a brother that is not doing the right thing. But after warning him for two to three times and he refuses to change that we are expected to put him out of the Church by expelling him. When we find brethren commiting grevious sin that are unto death they should be expelled.
Romans 1:32
We learnt from this scripture that they people that tolerate wicked people in their gathering. It is not good to tolerate wicked people in the gathering of the Church of God. Because if those wicked and bad members are not removed they may contaminate other members.
Romans 2:19-22
There so many people who preach what they don't practice, we were warned by this scripture not to be part of such. They preach that people should not steal, but they steal; they preach that people should not fornicate but they do the same.
These kind of people are bad eggs among good ones and the Bible encourages us to put such people away from the house of God.
Matthew 12:32
We learnt from this scripture that one of the sins that cannot be forgiven is a sin against the Holy Spirit. To speak against the Holy Spirit intentionally is a sin called blasphemy. And every member of the Church of God is warned against such act because if found guilty it cannot be forgiven.
Act 15:32
We learnt from this scripture the other sins that members of the Church of God are not expected to fall victims of. Apostles James was the one that listed these out in the above scripture and they are;
- Eating of things offered to Idol
- Eating of Blood
- Eating of strangled animals
- Fornication
When a food is offered to Idol we are expected to abstain from such kind of food.
Psalm 115:5-8
We learnt from this scripture the real description of what an idol is. They are silver, gold wood and so on. They the work of man's hand, they have hand but can't handle, they have eyes but can't see, they have ears but can't hear; they have mouth but can't talk.
It is a foolish thing to worship things that are man made. The people that worship idols are blind because the same wood used to carve the idols is still the same wood that would be used to cook and roast by the same person.
It's an abominable thing before God to pray to idol and to worship them.
Romans 1:25
We learnt from this scripture that some people change the truth of God into lies, and they worship the creature instead of the Creator.
People who worship idols offer food to their idol and as members of the church of God we are not to partake of such food.
Eating of food offered to Idol defiles the conscience and we are not expected to eat such food.
Revelation 22:9
We learnt from this scripture that as members of the Church of God we not expected to worship anything apart from God. We not expected to worship even Angels, the only person that deserves our worship is God.
MY EXPECTATIONS THAT WAS IMPROVED
I learnt that there are two kinds of sin, the first is the one that leads to death and the second is the one that is not unto death.
I learnt that one of the sin against the Holy Spirit is Blasphemy and it means to intentionally talk against the Holy Spirit. I learnt that this kind of sin is not forgiven
I learnt that the Father begot the Son and glorified the Son before the world began. I also learnt that the Son was begotten before the world began.
I learnt that the begotten Son of God is the Word of God that became flesh and dwelth among us.
I learnt that my obligations is to worship God and God alone
