The power of Moses' law ended with the arrival of John the Baptist, as stated in Luke chapter 16, verse 16. Since then, the Gospel of the Kingdom of God has been preached, as Jesus preached it in Mark chapter one after John was put in prison. The Gospel contains instructions, corrections, and reproofs that lead to righteousness. Thus, the best way for teenagers to avoid destruction is by following the way of the Gospel.

The Gospel provides guidance on how to live a life of love, compassion, and service, while avoiding destructive behaviours that can lead to negative outcomes. Living according to the Gospel means living according to the commandments of Christ, and this is the surest way to live a life that is pleasing to God.
