Does God listens to idol worshippers?|The Old Path
Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 6:14-19, Habakkuk 2:18-19, Psalms 115:4&8
God listens to prayers that are projected to Him. People that practice idol worshipping, the prayers they make are not unto God, but to their idols. God has no business or relationship with idols. He states plainly in the book of 2 Corinthians 6:16 how we have no business or relationship with idols.
God derives no pleasure in idol worship practices. As a matter of fact, God's anger is kindled against those who involve themselves in this act. Moses also showcased his anger when he returned from the mountains, only to find the Israelites worshipping craven images that they had made in his absence.
Praying to idols can never bring us closer to God. They separate us from Him also. Choosing to worship idols simply means choosing darkness over light. You can't follow the path of darkness and expect God to hear you. The reason is because light has no relationship with light.
You are either on the path of light or on the path or darkness. You can't be in-between both roads. Praying to idols keeps you at loss. Here's what the scripture below has to say about this.
Habakkuk 2:19 - Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.
There's absolutely no use making prayers to idols because they have no breath in them. Another reason why it's a crazy thing to do is because they are the works of men. We can't expect much from something that was done by the hands of someone.
The creator is always greater than the creation. So if we expect great things we should make them known to God who is our Creator, and not idols.
This is such a strong message. Idols can’t hear or help us because they have no life. God wants us to turn to Him, not to things made by people. We can’t walk in both light and darkness. To truly connect with God, we must worship Him alone. Well said!
