Happy new week everyone. It was an amazing time with God's servant brother Eli. As Christians, it is important to be aware of our true nature. One of the important things to take note of is what your true identity is. This brings us to the question what man's identity is.
Genesis 1:26 - And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Being created in God's image makes us identify with Him. Jesus said to the people when He was on earth that if the people see Him then they have His father. We also, being brought into the family of God through Christ hold the same claim. Our nature influences how we act. There are certain characters that we should exhibit with ease because it is our nature.
Animals don't struggle to behave in animalistic behaviour because they are animals. Aside the fact that we are humans, we possess a particular nature as Christians. Being Christians make us children of God. A being can only reproduce what is like him.
It is impossible for a creature to reproduce something that does not look or behave like him. An offspring is expected to behave the way his parent does. Our nature distinguishes us from the unbelievers. Our true nature is determined by our inward man, not the outward man.
