Doing good should be the lifestyle of a Christian. We are meant to see everyone as our brothers. We should not be related by blood before we consider someone as our brother or show love towards them. A lot of people are dying everyday internally because there is no one to show them love.
We never see any place in the Bible where Jesus displayed hatred to anyone. Even when He the people connived against Him and had Him crucified, He still made a prayer to His father to forgive them, that they didn't know what they were doing. If Christ can portray this kind of love even till His last moments, if tells us that we should equally have love in us.
Galatians 6:10 - As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
They say charity begins at home. Love should start from within. Christ definition of family is not the way we see it. We often see it as a group of people related by blood. Christ countered this definition when He told the people who followed Him that His brothers and sisters are people who do His will. So people who have the same Christian faith as us are our brothers and sisters as well and we should not fail to have love for them by doing them good in every possible way that we can.
John.14.21 - He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
One of the ways God is convinced of our love for Him is when we keep His commandments, and one of His commandments is that we love one another.
