For you to accept jesus into your life, you need to accept the words of Jesus. There is a principle Jesus taught us to accept him.
Romans 10:17
The word of God is the source of faith and it is through the word of God that we all can receive faith.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. So without the hearing of God's word, you can not receive faith, and without faith, you can not be saved.
The words of men are lies and deciet. They will only tell us what suits them, but the word of God will buold us up.
According to Jesus, it is the knowledge of the truth that sets us free.
