From the question Elizabeth was one of the daughter of the levite Aaron, it does not mean because Mary is a cousin of Elizabeth, Mary is also a levite. There are some instances you have cousins that are not from your tribe.
Hebrews 7:14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood. If you believe the Bible, the Lord Jesus Christ came from the tribe of Judah.
When you read the entire Bible you will see that the descendants of Abraham had an intermingling between the race of the tribes of isreal. One is considered a levite if you are a son of Aaron but on the woman side you are not.
There are instances where the daughter of the levite can marry from other tribes in the Bible. How can he come from the twelve tribe of Judah, Judah is one of the twelve sons of Jacob.
