Hello Everyone
Want to contribute to the question of Today " what is baptism in the Bible" (part 1 of 3)
Mark 10:39 And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:
Baptism is the washing away of sins, is a period of repentance, the Lord Jesus has nothing to repent of and he did not commit sin, he just showed us an example of what baptism is in the Bible
1 Peter 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
Baptism was commanded by God with the intentions to repent and wash away our sin
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Baptism is for the remission of sins and washing away of sins
Jesus Christ baptism was just an example for us, because he has nothing to repent of, the Bible didn't tell us where to baptize (the place wasn't. Stated).
Thanks
