Hello!
I want to contribute to the question of today "what is the faith of the thief on the cross written in Luke 22:42-43 (part 2 of 7)
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
There's a great difference between our own righteousness and the righteousness of God. Christ advised the Jews to first seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness not our own righteousness. Our righteousness is counted in the sight of God
If u doing God's righteousness will it be like a filthy rags...?
Mark 15:32 Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him. This verse recorded that both the thieves mocked Jesus, but before they finally died one of the thieves realized between the remaining hours due to what he had seen or experienced opened his mind.
Luke 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. According to the verse doing your own righteousness justify yourself in the eyes of men.
Let's check ourselves where we have gone wrong, God's Grace is still sufficient for us, we can still come back to him with a repentant heart.
Thanks
