5TH JANUARY 2022 BIBLE STUDY WITH BROTHER ELI

Calvary greetings in Jesus name, i’m Praise Azubuike and it’s my first time posting here. I wanna share few thoughts i learnt on this Bible study. Brother Eli buttressed on this discussion ‘change’ as regards the bible definition of it. Knowing that God changes not all round. Following our text on Malachi 3:16 “For i am the lord, i change not, therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed”. What is the change been referred to here?
Exodus 3:13-14, God referred Himself as “I AM THAT I AM”. In other words He is God and there is no contention as regards his supremacy and no there’s transmutation in God. To my understanding Bro Eli wants us to know that the atheists arguing the personality of God is wrong, they are referred to as enemies of the Bible because they just want to pick out scriptures that best satisfy their arguments and relate it to the physical world.

God is beyond our physical senses and as such cannot be equated to man and his knowledge, He is the creator and cannot be reduced to his creation.
The encyclopedia of monism even puts that “As man is, God once was, As God is, man will be. God and man cannot be put on same scale of equality, God is beyond what we can ever think or imagine him to be. God does not mutate or change, He told moses about his unchanging nature and moses best understood that.
The only place we can bring in God’s change is in the repentance of man, take for example, the people of Sodom and Gomorrah who were condemned to destruction by God and they never thought it wise to gain the knowledge for change but the same case of destruction was applicable to Nineveh and they repented instantly. Here you have two case scenarios and God showed himself as the God of justice and mercy.

Love is ultimate with God and it’s because of his love that he forgives man and his numerous sins. For an atheist to argue about the change of God he must first study the scriptures with an understanding and not just for condemnation and controversies. To satisfy his hungry nature for hateful words against God. God doesn’t change and will never change from eternity to eternity. Thank you!
