Is praying alone enough for us to get closer to God? Is praying alone sufficient to make us justify before God? Is praying alone enough to keep us in union with God? Are we going to get what we are asking of God by merely praying? Is prayers the only thing which we should be doing?
Prayers alone are not enough. When we pray, we should have faith that the God to whom we are praying is able to answer our prayers. We should come to God with a believing heart. We should not have doubt when we are asking God for something. We should not be faithless. Faithlessness is something that makes our prayers ineffective.
We are to work out our faith. We should work out our faith. We should be doers of the word of God. For the Word of God to produce the effects which it promises to produce, we must put our faith to work.
