The christian life is a life of prayer. The Christian is a prayerful person. He is someone who is always praying.
1 Timothy 2:1-3 (KJV) I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
The doctrines of Jesus Christ teaches us to pray without ceasing, Luke 18:1 (KJV) And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;. We are to pray continually. We are to pray always. We should not cease praying, 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV) Pray without ceasing.. We ought to pray and not to faint. Those are the guidelines from the doctrines of Jesus Christ.
We must pray for everyone. We pray for ourselves. That we will be able to overcome temptations and do the will of God. We should pray for those who are governing us so that we can have a peaceful life. We must pray fervently. The Christian is a prayerful person.
Matthew 5:44 (KJV) But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
We should pray for our enemies and for those who do not love us. We should pray for those who persecute us. We are to pray for everyone.
I totally agree with this point.
